“Let Them” – And Let Yourself Breathe

By KC B., Founder of Efficiency X

A couple of weeks ago, I was listening to an interview between Charlamagne Tha God and Mel Robbins that really stuck with me. They were talking about Mel’s new book, The Let Them Theory — and I mean really talking. Not just about boundaries or buzzwords, but about the emotional freedom that comes with simply… letting go.

I had already picked up the book, but hearing that conversation added a whole new layer. And then this morning, as I was walking the Eastside Beltline in Atlanta reading it, two separate women stopped me to talk about the book — one was in the same section I was reading, and the other said she was trying to finish another book before starting this one.

Clearly, Let Them is hitting a nerve — in the best way.

Here’s the idea: when people show you who they are, let them. When they question your decisions, let them. When they don’t see your value, let them. The point isn’t to be passive — it’s to stop wasting energy trying to manage everything and everyone.

Now listen — I get it.

Letting go isn’t easy. Especially when you run a small or mid-sized business where every client, every relationship, every outcome feels like it could make or break everything you’ve built.

“Let them” can feel like a luxury you can’t afford.

But sometimes, it’s exactly what your business needs.

Because letting go doesn’t mean giving up — it means creating space for better.

Letting go of the wrong client makes room for the right one.

Letting go of the cluttered process makes room for clarity.

Letting go of control in every area makes space for you to lead.

That’s what we do at Efficiency X — we help you build systems so you’re not drowning in the details. We automate, streamline, and optimize the day-to-day so you can focus on strategy, growth, and the bigger picture.

So here’s what I’m learning — from a book, a podcast, and two strangers on a walking trail:

Let them talk.

Let them doubt you.

Let them go.

And while you’re at it — let yourself build differently.
